Gaming PCs for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Which PC should you choose for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?

This selection targets Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Airports, weather, traffic and aircraft change CPU, RAM and GPU load. Add-ons can raise requirements substantially; a simple flight does not establish performance in a complex airport scene.

Minimum requirements and our recommended PC

These purchase recommendations exceed the publisher’s minimum. They are hardware planning advice, not measured or guaranteed FPS results.

• Sedatech starting point for a new PC: Ryzen 5 9600X / Core Ultra 5 245KF · RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB · 32 GB · SSD 1 TB
• Sedatech recommended configuration: Ryzen 7 9800X3D / Core Ultra 7 265KF · RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB / RX 9070 XT · 64 GB · SSD 2 TB

Which processor and graphics card?

CPU performance matters at busy airports and with heavy traffic. For an ambitious build, choose Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Core Ultra 7 265KF. RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB or RX 9070 XT provides a QHD starting point to tune around your scenery.

1080p, QHD or 4K: choosing your settings

4K, VR and multiple monitors increase graphics workload. RTX 5080 or 5090 may be suitable, but cannot remove CPU or add-on bottlenecks. For VR, check headset resolution and the actual rendering resolution as well.

RAM, SSD and essential checks

Our new-PC starting point is 32 GB RAM; 64 GB adds headroom for demanding scenery. Choose a 2 TB NVMe SSD for a large add-on collection. Microsoft also lists 10, 50 and 100 Mbps internet connections for its minimum, recommended and ideal tiers.

Frequently asked questions about PCs for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Is the official minimum enough for a new PC?

The minimum describes entry-level play under the publisher’s stated conditions. For a new purchase, leave headroom based on your monitor, settings and other applications.

Do these builds guarantee a specific frame rate?

No. Scenes, updates, drivers, resolution and settings affect performance. Hardware guidance does not replace testing the exact configuration.

Can I change components before ordering?

Yes. Adjust the available options and check the final build: CPU, graphics card and VRAM, RAM, storage, operating system and connections must match your target.
